22ND ANNUAL LA DANSE ORYENTAL EXTRAVAGANZA
We had the privilege of sharing this awesome workshop weekend with
Miss Chris and Miss Ted! They were the most fun ever! We all learned
so much from Horacio & Beata Cifuentes and you can be sure we'll be
there when they come back on November 2006!

Friday morning. We all had a leisurely breakfast in the hotel room
(Anajahela made a frittata and croissants and Red made coffee!) and
then made our way to the theater for the first of the workshops.

Friday night. After a full day of workshops, we got to perform
in the Friday night show! We performed our gypsy-fusion skirt
routine "Yalla Ya Chebab" for the first time. Miss Red was so
calm and collected. Anajahela was not!

Saturday morning. Red relaxing in the hotel room where we had
another lazy morning and then it was off to the workshops!

Saturday night. After another day of workshops, we got all gussied up to go
to the Saturday night show, a cabaret of Horacio & Beata Cifuentes. Even little
Mimi did a number!

After the show, we wanted COFFEE! And there was not a
Starbucks to be found. Well, there were shops but none were
open to serve 4 beautifully-dressed wackos after midnight.

After we finally got something to eat and drink we wandered back to the
hotel to get a couple of hours of sleep before the last day of workshops.
